I was scammed by Jake Pearce. I shelled out £4,000 for a dropshipping course that never materialized. He promised the world and then disappeared. Typical, right?
When it happened, I felt like an idiot for falling for the scam. Part of me clung to the hope he’d suddenly resurface, claiming it was all a misunderstanding and maybe even refund me. Nope. No such luck.
The lesson? Be wary of people you don’t really know. Not everyone has your back—especially self-proclaimed “marketing gurus.” I should’ve checked for reviews or a solid track record beyond just an Instagram profile (@thejakepearce). He used to run something called Socian Vision, but that vanished too. Maybe he burned too many bridges—who knows?
In hindsight, I shouldn’t have paid upfront. Installments would’ve been smarter. And that “limited time offer” line? Pure manipulation. “I don’t take students often” was just a ploy to hook me fast. There was no urgency—he just wanted my money.
Still, what’s done is done. I can’t rewrite the past, only learn from it. It’s just money, and as they say, it could’ve been worse. Writing these blogs has helped me vent, and honestly, it’s lifted a weight off my shoulders. If even one person reads this, spots his scam, and steers clear, that’s a win.
I’ve decided to link these posts to him, hoping he’ll see what a rotten person he is. If he doesn’t, oh well. I’m moving on—stronger, wiser, and done with his nonsense.
